Zero is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our task management application on iOS and macOS devices.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name
Authentication Data: We store authentication credentials provided by third-party sign-in services (Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple)
User Content: Tasks, projects, lists, and any other content you create within the app

Usage Data: Basic analytics about app crashes and performance (via Firebase)
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for sync purposes
Information from Third Parties
Authentication Providers: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and display name from these services

We use the collected information to:
Provide and maintain the Zero service
Authenticate your account and enable secure access

Cloud Storage: Your data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore with encryption at rest
Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication with industry-standard security measures
Keychain: Sensitive authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain
Access Control: Your data is protected with user-specific security rules - only you can access your tasks and projects unless explicitly shared
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share your information only in these circumstances:
Shared Projects: When you invite someone to a project, they can see that project's title and tasks
Invitations: When you invite someone, we share your email and display name with the invitee
Service Providers: We use Google Firebase for authentication and data storage
Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights
Third-Party Services
Zero integrates with:
Firebase (Google): For authentication, data storage, and analytics
Google Sign-In: For authentication option
Sign in with Apple: For authentication option
These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your information.
Data Retention
Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active
Deleted Data: When you delete tasks, projects, or lists, they are immediately removed from our servers
Account Deletion: You can request account deletion, which will permanently remove all your data
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your data
Opt-out of any marketing communications (we don't currently send any)
Children's Privacy
Zero is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover such information, we will promptly delete it.
Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your jurisdiction. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, for significant changes, we may provide additional notice within the app.
